Contemporary Art Workshops are designed for young artists who are interested in exploring a variety of creative media.
Students will gain exposure across a variety of disciplines, including drawing, painting, and sculpture. Different teaching artists will be brought in to share their particular area of expertise on a rotating basis.
As with all classes and workshops at the Manhattan Beach Art Department, individuality and creative self-expression are the focus. Our approach to art doesn’t have any rules or formulas. We will NOT be teaching “how to’s”. Rather, we provide inspiration, materials and guidance in a supportive environment that fosters exploration and experimentation through process.
The goal is to help students build confidence in following their own personal vision.
